TTRPG Indies @ Port Melbourne

A celebration of Indie Games

To kick off June 2024, we were invited to host a table at TTRPG Indies at Port Melbourne by our partners at the Australian Roleplay Community (ARC).

In a similar style to our event at Conquest 2024, we had a table of Queer Micro TTRPGs for people to come and play.

On the Queer Micro TTRPGs table, we had:

What was on at the event:

ARC TTRPG Mentor Program Showcase. Games previously developed and being created right now!

Game Dunk Teaser with Lee Cope. A 2-hour rush to design your very own game, with prompts and guidance provided.

The King’s Poisoner by Jonathan (V2S Games) – Crowd Funding Countdown and Live Streamed Games! One of you is the king. The rest of you are either going to try to assassinate them or rat out the conspirators and save them. Who will you trust? Who will be king!

EC028 by James M. Awoken on a planet made entirely of scrap metal, you must scavenge, fight and modify your android body for a chance to escape.

Alpine by Akina bott. Coop party game, stranded tourists must work together and ration their way through a snowy mountain scape in order to survive.

Cats For Cannibals by Ashley Sinclair. The most purr-fectly strategic card game of survival and cunning!

Wishmakers by Xavier Ho and the team from SQUIGGLE! A wish is a peculiar thing, widely desired but not easily obtained. As the seasons turn once again, what will you wish for in the end?

Dark Vigil by Nicole Renner. In 1839, an eclipse began but never ended. Since then, we’ve discovered that those that linger in the Dark come back changed and corrupted, if they come back at all.

Fire & Stone by Élodie Harper Lloyd. Survival, spirits and grim psychedelia in the Stone Age that could have been…

Call of Cthulhu :: Fumbling in the dark by Sasa Lestrange. A seance in 1920’s Melbourne goes horribly awry. Will you survive the spirits summoned?

Lots of games were being showcased, made, playtested etc. It was an exciting creative space to be in.

As you can see, we tried to make our table as 💅 gay 💅 as possible:

In addition to all the queer shenanigans, the King's Poisoner had a livestream running all event long to promote the final hours of their crowdfunding event. Not only was it fully funded, by the time the campaign closed they reached two of their stretch goals!

This was the inaugural event for ARC in partnership with the Port Phillip City Council and we're very excited for next years' event.
